TSE “Challenge to be Great” Scholarship Fund
Tamassee-Salem Elementary School, with the support of Keowee Falls Cliffs Residents Outreach, Inc. (CRO), is starting a scholarship fund for the 2022 Tamassee-Salem Elementary School 5th grade class. The purpose of this scholarship is to challenge students to believe that with hard work and determination, they can reach greatness. Upon graduation, each eligible student will receive a $1000 scholarship to attend the two- or four-year post-secondary school of their choice.
The School District of Oconee County will begin summer meals on Wednesday, June 1st. Meals will be available Monday through Friday from June 1st through Friday, July 29th. No meals will be available July 4th - 8th due to the July 4th holiday. Meals are available to any child under the age of 18 that lives in Oconee County. Children do not have to be students in the district to receive meals.
Families with children who will be 4 years old on or before September 1, 2022 who have not already done so are encouraged to schedule a screening to determine if their child is eligible to attend an SDOC 4K program.

At its regularly scheduled board meeting held on May 16, 2022, the School District of Oconee County Board of Trustees approved the hiring of several new administrative positions.
At a special called board meeting held Thursday, April 28th, 2022, the School District of Oconee County Board of Trustees approved several administrative hires for the 2022-2023 school year.
